Alley Cat.

Large and sleek with a spotted or marbled coat that is very soft. Said to be active and intelligent. I enjoyed painting this cat for those very reasons.

I know a few people who have these cats. Looking at them with that long beautiful coat, one would think that they were pampered. Their owners say that is not the case and in fact, they are very good hunters.

Norwegian Forest Cat.

The origins of this cat are not very clear, which is a pity, because I like reading up on them. How the breed was developed is very interesting. Never mind, because it was the look of this cat that attracted me in the first place, and what a fine-looking chap he is.

Persian Cat.

The first time I saw a Persian I got quite a fright. High speed and a collision with a very solid object like a brick wall came to mind, but you soon forget the flat face when you observe the incredible beauty of this animal. I saw them at a cat show and they were groomed to perfection. I thought that it would be great to own one, till my wife pointed out the amount of effort it would require to maintain the look. My enthusiasm took a beating when she asked me if I was going to do the combing and cleaning. Quick as a flash, I decided to become a big fan of Persian cats owned and groomed by other people, and I remain the same to this day...

Alley Cat No1.

Siamese cats must be very popular because breeders seem to have created many variations of this cat. One hears of seal, blue, chocolate and lilac, long and short hair. I owned a Siamese cat, it had a beige off-white coat with blue eyes a dark chocolate face and ears. I thought this cat was very good-looking and when I saw the other variations I knew that my Siamese was the best. Now please don't phone or write - mine was the best and that is that
