Nasturtiums are great plants, they thrive in poor soil conditions and require little water, that is when you are likely to see them produce beautiful bright flowers.
I bought a new camera recently and while visiting a friend, I took a few pics of Inca lilies in her garden. Based on the photos, I produced two paintings.
Lovely to look at and easy to grow, but needs to be protected from the wind and all-day sun for the best blooms
Mass plantings of Azaleas in bloom are a sight to behold, they must be closely related to Rhododendrons because I have often seen them planted together. What the difference is I do not know, but the show that they put on, is almost too good to be true.
Nasturtiums grown in a pot or urn, will trail down and provide a great show. Those planted near a fence will climb, what versatile plants they are. You can also eat flowers and leaves in your salad
This painting was quite complicated with all the petals, but I really enjoyed doing it.
Roses are beautiful flowers and are popular with most people. Iām going to paint three or four while I am in the rose mood.
The last three rose paintings have all been pretty close-up, the next one will be from further back showing the stem and leaves.
Yellow Rose with a palette knife background.
Now here is a rose painted from further back so that you can see the stem and leaves.
